BeeShift FAQ
About BeeShift
What is BeeShift?
BeeShift is an on-demand shift coverage network that connects care providers with verified caregivers for urgent, same-day, and planned coverage needs.
Who is BeeShift built for?
BeeShift is built for care providers that need dependable shift coverage and qualified caregivers who want flexible opportunities that match their credentials, availability, location, and preferences.
Is BeeShift a traditional staffing agency?
BeeShift is an on-demand shift coverage platform, not a traditional full-time placement service. Providers post an open shift, BeeShift sends the Buzz, and qualified caregivers can respond.
Where is BeeShift launching?
BeeShift is launching in Washington, with expansion opportunities planned as the network grows.
BeeShift FAQ
For Providers
How do I request shift coverage?
Sign in to your provider account, post the shift details, and Send the Buzz. Smart Match™ then alerts qualified caregivers who match the shift requirements.
How quickly can a caregiver respond?
BeeShift is built for rapid response. Once you Send the Buzz, Smart Match™ alerts qualified caregivers so available matches can respond quickly.
What does BeeShift charge providers?
BeeShift charges providers a $35 fee for each shift successfully covered through the platform.
Can I post planned shifts as well as urgent shifts?
Yes. BeeShift supports urgent, same-day, and planned shift coverage so providers can use the platform for both unexpected call-outs and known coverage gaps.
How will I know what is happening after I post a shift?
Providers can follow key shift updates from caregiver acceptance through En Route, Arrived, In Progress, and Completed, helping them stay informed as coverage moves forward.
BeeShift FAQ
For Caregivers
Who can join BeeShift as a caregiver?
BeeShift welcomes qualified care professionals in supported roles, including HCA, CNA, NAR, LPN, and RN, who meet BeeShift verification requirements and the requirements of the shifts they accept.
Do I have to accept every shift?
No. You choose which shifts to accept based on your availability, location, travel preferences, and the type of work you want.
How do I see available shifts?
After your BeeShift account and required verification are complete, you can explore eligible shift opportunities and receive matches based on your profile.
Can I choose how far I am willing to travel?
Yes. Smart Match™ can use your location or preferred travel area to help surface more relevant nearby shift opportunities.
What happens if I am not verified yet?
You can continue your onboarding, manage your profile, and submit required credentials. Full shift details and shift acceptance remain locked until BeeShift verification is complete.
BeeShift FAQ
Verification & Credentials
Why does BeeShift verify caregivers?
Verification helps BeeShift confirm that caregivers meet applicable credential and background-check requirements before full shift access is unlocked.
What credentials may BeeShift review?
Depending on the caregiver role and shift, BeeShift may review applicable credentials and requirements such as HCA, CNA, NAR, LPN, RN, CPR, First Aid, TB documentation, and other required records.
How are background checks handled?
BeeShift's verification process is designed around applicable Washington background-check requirements and approved state resources where required. Specific requirements may vary by caregiver role and shift.
What happens if a credential expires?
Caregivers are responsible for keeping required credentials current. BeeShift is designed to track credential status and may restrict shift access when required documentation is expired or no longer valid.
BeeShift FAQ
Shifts & Smart Match™
What is Smart Match™?
Smart Match™ is BeeShift's matching system. It considers factors such as credentials, availability, location, travel preferences, and shift requirements to connect open shifts with relevant caregivers.
What happens after a provider sends the Buzz?
Smart Match™ identifies eligible caregivers, sends the Buzz to relevant matches, and gives an available caregiver the opportunity to respond and accept the shift.
Can multiple caregivers see the same shift?
A shift may be sent to multiple qualified caregivers so the provider has the best chance of getting timely coverage. Once coverage is confirmed, the shift is no longer available for another caregiver to accept.
What is The Golden Minute™?
The Golden Minute™ represents BeeShift's rapid-response philosophy: reduce the time between a provider sending the Buzz, a qualified caregiver responding, and coverage being secured when care cannot wait.
BeeShift FAQ
Payments & Fees
Is there a fee to post a shift?
There is no BeeShift coverage fee simply to post a shift. The $35 provider fee applies when a shift is successfully covered through BeeShift.
Does BeeShift take the caregiver's hourly pay?
No. BeeShift's $35 coverage fee is charged to the provider when a shift is successfully covered. Caregiver compensation is separate from the BeeShift provider fee.
How are payment details handled?
Payment and earnings workflows are part of the BeeShift platform experience. The specific payment method and timing for a shift will be shown as those workflows are finalized and rolled out.
